VIMY NIGHT 2012
On Saturday the 31st of March 2012 the 26th Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery held the Thirty-Second Annual 26th Field Regiment and XII Manitoba Dragoons Museum Vimy Night celebration and fundraiser in the Brandon Armoury.
The doors opened at 6:00 pm and at 6:30 pm Her Worship Mayor Shari Decter Hirst received from the Museum a cheque for 5,000 dollars for the Brandon Veterans Memorial. Presenting the cheque on behalf of the museum was Colonel (retired) Don Berry President of the Museum Board on the left of the Mayor, to the right of the Mayor is Major (retired) Chuck Laroque Chairman of the Fundraising Committee of the Veterans memorial.
The presentations was followed by an excellent Chinese Food Buffet catered by Double Happiness Restaurant. Entertainment was provided by the 26 Field Regiment Pipes and Drums Band. A live auction followed, the event was well attended and supported. A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers for their help, donations and financial assistance for the Vimy Night fundraiser.
